Thanks Mattia - That sounds like a challenge!  :D

Unfortunately, my programming skills are a bit rusty and there is always the old problem of "time".

For my first attempt last week, I used PDF24. A very manual approach, but examining the XML, it doesn't look too horrible.

For the past year, I have also been using Dolibarr in parallel to GnuCash [The ERP/MRP modules are useful for me]. I really don't want to switch accounting from GNC, but my tax advisor would prefer me to switch to a professional DATEV interface. Dolibarr has (paid) modules to achieve both goals.

*/I am not endorsing the following - I have not tried or tested/*    Here is a link to a possible solution:  https://www.lvbprint.de/en/einvoicebridge-gnucash-zugferd/

If you try it, I'd like to hear about your experience.

Cheers Chris

Consider that Italy has had pretty much the same thing for over a decade
(since 2019 mandatory to use for *all* B2B transactions), and to this
day nobody developed any integration, afaik.

I would be incredibly envious if somebody did it for the German
equivalent before us :P
