I am using Gnucash 5.16 on a Mac (iMac24 using the Apple M1 chip) running OSX Tahoe 26.4.1.
I am trying to move my search results to my spreadsheet for analysis. I first generated the search as a report and I then exported the search report to an html file. I tried to open it in Open Office (the default offering) but Open Office does not do a good job (and I usually do not use it). I then tried Numbers and apparently I cannot open an html file in it. So I turned to csv format and this is where the problem started. When I select Export Active Register to csv, nothing happens. When I selected Export Transactions or Account Tree I get a window pop up to define the report and filename etc. I have restarted Gnucash but it exhibits the same behaviour. I have checked all desktops and sent all running apps to the dock but the pop up window cannot be seen. I noticed a flash or flicker on the account tab tree so I moved the tabs from the right (my default) to the top but it also made no difference. Anyone else had this behaviour? Any ideas on how to resolve it?
