Gee thanks.

I'm just going to queue for removal along with cmbchina...

Bruce,

On a related topic, yahooweb seems to be broken: stockdump.pl yahooweb AAPL
returns
$VAR1 = {
           'AAPLerrormsg' => '404 Not Found',
           'AAPLsuccess' => 0
         };
Though https://finance.yahoo.com/quote/AAPL/history/?p=AAPL in the browser
works as expected producing an HTML table with the price history.

John,

Thanks, but that was something I came across in my hours of wasted time. But,
Funds do expire, change, etc. So I'm still wanting to have a link where I can
easily grab another symbol before I even attempt to debug the module. It was
only a few months ago when the original author submitted the PR to add the
module.

Yeah... looks like this module was short lived.

Bruce,
I don’t use it, but I visited the URL from the module,
https://cfweb.paas.cmbchina.com/personal/prodvalue.aspx and told Safari to
translate it. There’s a search box into which I entered XY040208 and clicked
the search button. That produced a table with prices. The page source’s body
contains a script and no other content so IIUC it’s not scrapable.

Who is using the "cmbchina" source in Finance::Quote?

I am asking because the symbol used in the modules test script, "XY040208", is
no longer returning valid quote data. I have spent a considerable amount of time search
for a list of valid funds in order to change the symbol used for testing with no success.
I have attempted to contact the module's original author for the last 2 or 3 weeks and
have not received a response.

So if anybody is using "cmbchina" with success, please respond with a symbol
that is returning valid data. If possible a link to a list of valid funds and their
symbols would also be appreciated.

Thank you in advance.
