I like the feature of the Accounts pane that you can type part of an account name to jump to the account whose name contains that text.
But sometimes two accounts contain the same text. For instance, I have Water Deposit (an Asset) and Water (an Expense). When I type "Water", I get the asset, presumably because it occurs earlier in the list. Is there some keystroke that will move me from the matching account I don't want to open just now to the one I do? I know, I could always rename the expense Water Usage and then type "Water U". But that seems kind of clunky, and I'm hoping there's a better way to select the desired account. In case it matters, I have "Only display leaf account names" ticked in Edit » Preferences » Register Defaults. Please note: I'm in 4.14. If there's no solution in 4.14 but there _is_ one in 5.x, I'd like to know about it, please. -- Stan Brown Tehachapi, CA, USA https://BrownMath.com _______________________________________________ gnucash-user mailing list gnucash-user@gnucash.org To update your subscription preferences or to unsubscribe: https://lists.gnucash.org/mailman/listinfo/gnucash-user ----- Please remember to CC this list on all your replies.
