I don't understand what you are describing. In what mode are you creating
transactions? And where are these menus to which you refer?

What is the "Asset & Income" group, and where is it located? For example, my
Chart of Accounts has top level accounts for Assets, Equity, Expenses, Income,
and Liabilities (standard accounting,  BTW). I don't have an Assets & Income.
Where do you see this?

What are the exact full name of the problem accounts? For example, I have my
checking account as Assets:Checking. What are yours? Is it possible that you're
actually trying to use the same account from different spots in the app?

I believe GnuCash uses a hidden code to identify an account, so in theory one
should be able to repeat an account name, but I could be wrong about the data
entry limitations there.
