OOPS ---m I meant "cash flow" had nothing to do with cash basis.
a) You can use the cash flow reports with either cash basis or accrual
basis. In fact, making sure OK on a cash flow basis can be very
important for those on accrual basis, large amount of yet uncollected
receivables. It's where "factoring" comes in << factors buy receivables,
or at least lend against them >>
b) In either case (cash basis or accrual basis) you can be OK in terms
of "in the black" but nit OK in terms of cash flow. Or you can be OK
(for now) in terms of cash flow but bleeding red ink.
c) For those not seeing how being on "cash basis" does not prevent
problems with cash flow (or vice versa, you are not considering changes
to net asseys and/or liabilities.

a) You CAN use "cash basis" even for small business/organizations. The
only PITA is unable to use invoicing (except by work arounds). If your
small business does not do much invoicing, the work around not too
cumbersome.
b) But you said "cash FLOW basis". Gnucash can do cash flow reporting
but that has nothing to do with cash FLOW.
