So, I just received my 1099-DIV and there are "non-dividend distributions"

Any thoughts?

Thank you!

Not a gnucash question (yet). The accounting question presumably what accounts to debit or credit. When you received this special "dividend" check should have been debit cash (your bank account) and credit the basis of the security (what you paid for it. NOW a gnucash question, and I can't help, as do not account for stocks in gnucash.
