Thanks for the pointer. From there, I found the "uservoice" system and added a feature request to always have a 2-digit minor version (e.g. 6.00, 6.01, etc). Perhaps this is related to the kind of Windows bug that prevented a version 9, allegedly because it could be confused by some update or audit software with 95 or 98.
