Not too difficult having just set my default font to "font: 20px arial;" to
cater for my aging eyes :-) Start with the right hand column header
(Balance in my case) and double click it to automatically set the column
width. Don't worry if it goes off the edge of the screen for now. Do the
same for all of the column headers working from right to left i.e. from
Balance to Date columns in turn but skipping over the Description column.
The Description column is a special case and always expands to use the
remaining space. Sometimes this process results in one or more of the
columns on the right being pushed off the screen so what I do to reset the
width of the Description column is to left mouse "click and hold" the
column divider on the right side of the Description column and flick it 2-3
cms to the left and let go of the mouse button although I assume just
dragging left and releasing the mouse button would probably also do the
trick. This usually reduces the width of the Description column to fit and
brings any columns that have been pushed too far to the right back into
view. Unfortunately you may have to do this for each register but it is
what it is :-)

Hope this helps, Cheers David H.
