Hi Fred, You don't say what OS and Gnucash version your wife's friend is using but I'm going to assume Windows and a recent version of GnuCash :-)
Gnucash uses GTK3 - the following are links from the wiki that relate to updating GTK settings - if you check them out you'll see there's a bucket load of settings you can customise. https://wiki.gnucash.org/wiki/GTK3 https://wiki.gnucash.org/wiki/Configuration_Locations#In_GTK_CONFIG_HOME If you go to the Help >> About menu on a recent version of Gnucash it will display 6 or so file locations - the paths are clickable. Mine looks like the picture below :- If you click on the 2nd link (GNC_USERCONFIG_DIR) on a Windows pc it should open your C:\Users\<<username>>\AppData\Roaming\GnuCash folder - I have a text file named "gtk-3.0.css" in that folder - make sure you don't add a ".txt" extension to the file. It has the following entry in it to control the application wide font setting - you can set the font size up or down until you find a suitable setting. If you change a setting you need to restart Gnucash to pick up the new settings. /* Application wide font setting */ * { font: 24px arial; } Hope this helps, Cheers David H.
