Finbar — Please always copy the list so there is a trail for others to learn from.
Copy the file into that folder. Then start GNUCash and the font should take hold. GNUCash will look in that GNC_USERCONFIG_DIR for this customization — will find it — and apply it so that your font should be what you want. Hope that helps.
