I thought you could just change the name in the stock editor and also change 
the ticker symbol. At least, I've done that before, I think. Can't you? 

I'll note that if you change the identity of the asset, the entire history will 
use the new nomenclature. Technically, you would be better creating a new 
security and account (since the commodity is changed), and doing a zero cost 
conversion of shares from the old to the new as of the cutover. It's not very 
difficult, and it's easier to figure things out later. I typically will put a 
note into the transaction to explain what was done ("SLK Sea Link changed to 
KLS Kelsian") for my own sanity.
