Hi,
is there a way to convert a Gnucash file in XML format to SQLite format on the command line and the reverse? I know I can do Save As in the Gnucash UI, but I would like to do it from the command line so that I can automate it.
Thanks,

I hate these questions. Of course it is possible. You say that there is a way WITHIN gnucash to do this. You know that gnucash is open source. You are somebody willing to invoke processes from the command line. But what about the rest of your programming/software design background?  And what OS are you under, what tools?

In other words, I could surely manage to do this. BUT --- I am a retired pro, very senior systems analyst. I used to do things much harder than this for my living
