Thank you so much for explaining how the Digest works - that's what I thought happened but I was reluctant to engage Digest in case I was wrong.
As an experienced Gmail user, I did fall back to filtering my feed into a GnuCash folder directly, bypassing my Inbox - so - great minds think alike! Thank you Liz and Tommy for your responses .
