Does that mean cancelling the reconciliation and postponing behaves same?

If you need to make edits to transactions then cancelling seems better option
rather than postponing one. I feel like postponing leaves too many items
dangling in case you forget to complete it.

Robert,

The purpose of the postpone button AFAIK is to abandone the reconciliation if
there are major corrections to do and it leaves the reconciliation status as it
was before starting the reconciliation dialogue.

You can actually open any of the account registers and add or edit any existing
transactions as necessary with the reconciliation window open and any changes
to the account will then appear in the reconciliation credit and debit panes of
the dialogue, so it is not necessary to postpone the reconciliation for
corrections and edits.
