Under Tools/Import Map Editor. A is for add (for those transaction that have no match), U+C is update and clear ( updates your entry with what the matcher has and clears the transaction), and c is for clearing a matching transaction with no changes to your original entry. If you uncheck all those boxes it doesn't import.

Well, the manual said that you could edit the rules manually, but how, and where? In the Generic Transaction Import Matcher Window? What do the checkboxes A, U+C and C mean? Nothing was explained in the manual. The manual also indicated that if no match found, the import process would assign the transaction to the Imbalanced account by default. However, if I assign the transaction to unmatched by uncheck all boxes, the transaction won't get imported at all. https://gnucash.org/docs/v5/C/gnucash-manual//trans-import.html#trans-import-matcher I am using GC 5.4 on Mac.
