Dick, it's where it always was. Installing GnuCash doesn't delete any of
your data files, and I assume you didn't delete it yourself.

First, what happens when you open GC and click File? You should see a
list of your most recently used files near the bottom of the vertical
strip that pops up. If you do, click your file name and ignore the rest
of this message.

Otherwise, do a search, using whatever search facility your operating
system provides, for a file with the name you used. Depending on your
operating system, yo may need to add the .gnucash suffix to the filename
you're searching for.

Caution! GnuCash normally saves backup files. They are unfortunately
named with your main data file name, followed by .gnucash. and a
timestamp and .gnucash again. Any files that contain .gnucash twice, or
that end in .log, are not your data file and you generally should not
open them in GnuCash.
