Nope, no such directory
$ ls ~/.gnucash/books
ls: cannot access '/home/liz/.gnucash/books': No such file or directory
Updated. BTW the FAQ is a terrible place because it is hard to maintain.
In most cases wiki's search offers more recent topics.
