My transactions were entered manually, so I don’t have a strict numerical input. However, I was aiming to input them in order, and doubt that they were not input in quite such a random way. I am pretty sure that I used first to last. I thought that GnuCash would either sensible defaults for numbers if none were specified. Although I specified the starting invoice number, I didn’t specify the bill number initially, as I have not associated a number with a bill in the past. I noticed that the export had no bill number - I expected it to start them at 1. I did later set the starting bill as 1000, but the bills are exported in a random order too. Opening balances are randomly distributed throughout the CVS file too - they are not all at the top or bottom like I would have expected. I hope that I can resolve this issue, as it’s a pretty important one.
