Hi Steve, The data file is cross platform. You can simply copy it to a USB and put it in your new computer and it will work. ________________________________ From: gnucash-user <gnucash-user-bounces+gfowler1=outlook....@gnucash.org> on behalf of Steve Thompson <ste...@wkyr.net> Sent: Sunday, December 4, 2022 8:24 PM To: gnucash-user@gnucash.org <gnucash-user@gnucash.org> Subject: [GNC] Why doesn't GnuCash have an Export function?
Hi all and forgive me if this has been asked and answered before. I'm trying to get used to this particular list server and how it functions and my search didn't seem to return what I thought it should. I was trying to migrate from Linux (Suse Leap 15.3) to Windows 11. I'm being forced into this because of customers and Teams (which crashed my Linux system), and the lack of Adobe Acrobat for Linux. I finally gave up (even though I have a file server that all my systems are connected to) and started from scratch on Windows, having to hand enter all of this years records (thankfully this has been a short year). But, to the question, now that we have covered the problem that brought me to this question: Why doesn't GnuCash have an export functions so that one can more easily migrate from one computer system to another? And it may be needed to migrate from Gnucash's data format to another system used by one's CPA.
