irc.gnome.org is an alias for irc.libera.chat. irc.libera.chat has address 46.16.175.175 irc.libera.chat has address 51.89.226.78 irc.libera.chat has address 188.240.145.101 irc.libera.chat has IPv6 address 2001:41d0:801:1000::a44 irc.libera.chat has IPv6 address 2001:4b7a:a008::6667 irc.libera.chat has IPv6 address 2001:6b0:78::101 irc.gimp.net is an alias for irc.gimp.org. irc.gimp.org has address 130.239.18.219 irc.gimp.org has address 54.39.222.199 irc.gimp.org has address 130.239.18.217 irc.gimp.org has address 51.15.53.172 irc.gimp.org has IPv6 address 2001:6b0:e:2018::219 irc.gimp.org has IPv6 address 2001:6b0:e:2018::217 irc.libera.chat and irc.gimp.org are different networks. As you can see, there is no overlap in Server IP Addresses. Yes, I have gone to irc.libera.chat and registered #gnucash with them, pointing them back to irc.gimp.org.
