I honestly have not saved a new data file in over a decade. So my data files exist without an extension, and current GnuCash is happy with that. If I really cared (which I don't), what I would do now is save the file the first time, then rename it in the file system, and then open it under the new name without the extension. I'll note that I am FAIRLY sure that, e.g. Word does not allow you to save without an extension. > Chris Green > Please remember to CC this list on all your replies. > You can do this by using Reply-To-List or Reply-All. -derek -- Derek Atkins 617-623-3745 de...@ihtfp.com www.ihtfp.com Computer and Internet Security Consultant _______________________________________________ gnucash-user mailing list gnucash-user@gnucash.org To update your subscription preferences or to unsubscribe: https://lists.gnucash.org/mailman/listinfo/gnucash-user If you are using Nabble or Gmane, please see https://wiki.gnucash.org/wiki/Mailing_Lists for more information. ----- Please remember to CC this list on all your replies.
