Please remember to copy the list on all replies. I just realized that you're using flathub and GnuCash 4.9, so it's definitely the WebKit problem, https://bugs.gnucash.org/show_bug.cgi?id=798486. Just get the new 4.10 from flathub and you should be back in business.
