PS: After "moving" your file to an eternal drive, I strongly suggest you rename (if not deleting) the file on the internal drive so that gnucash will not find it. You do NOT want to accidentally open it after you have begun using the file on the external drive which could happen if you opened gnucash while the external drive was not connected.
