Hello- First, let me say I’m a delighted user of GNUcash. I’m using it to keep the financial records of a not-for-profit company that is listed as a 501c(7) with the USA IRS, so it’s official 😊
I am trying to set up a way for someone else in our company to be able to take over from me, if something should happen to me. After all, that’s kind of the point of having a company – a company is something that should survive an individual. I can easily enough use a backup program on my GNUcash data files to copy the data files to another user’s computer, and they can use those data files. Our GNUcash data files are in their own directory which the next GNUcash user can find by following simple File->Open style of instructions in the GNUcash program. But there are some custom reports which are located in the unusual location %AppData%\GnuCash This unusual location is obviously not included in the backup program for the data files, and the backup/restore program can’t easily transfer those files to the next user’s computer (because the %APPDATA% resolves to a different location on the next user’s computer). How can we easily backup/transfer/copy our custom reports from one computer to another? One potentially easy solution would be to have those custom report files located in a subdirectory under the GNUcash data directory. But how to set up GNUcash to use that, if it’s even possible? Any suggestions would be appreciated! ***thanks*** Rich Troy _______________________________________________ gnucash-user mailing list gnucash-user@gnucash.org To update your subscription preferences or to unsubscribe: https://lists.gnucash.org/mailman/listinfo/gnucash-user If you are using Nabble or Gmane, please see https://wiki.gnucash.org/wiki/Mailing_Lists for more information. ----- Please remember to CC this list on all your replies.
