Yes, David, That is why YOU would want the imbalance account functionality. However, other people work differently. Some people have no need for that functionality and don’t like the creation of extra unneeded accounts. It would be nice if GnuCash worked well for everyone instead of forcing everyone to work the way one person likes to work.
