My Linux Mint 20.3 system with GC 4.4 has user files in /home/<username> as follows
.config/gnucash gtk css configuration and dconf debug log .local/share/gnucash current gnucash user data .guncash this is an older version of the user data from previous GnuCash versions which has not been deleted but I think can be.
