I jump between several machines (Windows and Linux) ... I keep my single Gnucash file in a shared folder on OneDrive that I can update from any machine. It's too bad there is no option to keep the custom reports in the same location as the gnucash file (or better yet, make them part of the file). At the moment, I have the custom report on several machines, but if I update it, I then have to apply same update on each machine (have not tried to copy the definition from different machines yet). I suppose maybe I can set up some sort of scheduled task to do it.
