I agree as well. I was replying specifically to Christina's post. Perhaps I misread it.

You won't automatically see the transactions for review unless you have it set up to both notify you and then click that checkbox.

But certainly even without notification or review, the transactions should appear in the relevant registers (there should be at least two affected accounts) without restarting GnuCash.

If they are not appearing, and there is no date or other filter set, that indeed is a bug, but it isn't affecting everyone as I noted. More sleuthing will be needed.
