Running GnuCash 4.4 on Big Sur 11.2, seems about the same except the save time has blown out by about a factor of 10 (i.e. from a few seconds to about 30-40 seconds), whereas Ubuntu and Win 10 are as speedy as ever. I put it down to something in Big Sur - I have issues with my Logitech mouse as well when it starts to get all jittery and stop responding for half a second or so here and there. Maybe time for a system re-install, been putting it off as it's a lot of work :-(
