The MacOS build of GnuCash uses the same antique version of WebKit as does the 
Windows build, but for a different reason: Newer versions of WebKit haven't 
been able to render charts when bundled into GnuCash. The MacPorts folks think 
that the latest version has fixed that and I'm working on getting it to build 
now. We'll see. In the meantime the workaround applies to macOS as well as 
Windows.

Yes, by "disk" I mean hard disk. To export a report, click the Export button in 
the toolbar and use the chooser dialog to put the report somewhere convenient, 
then double-click on the exported file in Finder. That should open it in your 
browser, where you can use command-P to open the print dialog and the PDF drop 
down there to save it as a PDF.
