Derek, I run PCLinuxOS, & it is Gnucash ver 4.1. I have been a happy PCLinuxOS user for about 15 years. I love PCL because it just works. Try it off a USB drive, or SD card.
(I run Ubuntu on my Energy server, & must say I prefer PCL!
