Bill, The Wiki has detailed instructions for building in Linux which were primarily developed from Linux Mint (17-19)/Ubuntu/Debian. They haven't yet been updated to cope with LM20s quirks but you will find some recent posts (last few weeks)re problems with LM20 and ubuntu 20.4 in the developer mailing list archive.
