Following a problem I encountered after installing version 4.1, I made copies
of the last-known-good .gnucash files (four in total) in a ./TEST subdirectory,
and opened them using File->Open.

I expected the Recently Opened list to reflect this, but found that one
particular file wasn’t appearing in the list even after being opened repeatedly.

Quitting GC and restarting corrects this.

Had I made my test duplicates (with modified filenames) in my default accounts
directory, I’d have spotted this more quickly, as I’d have expected the list to
have included filename1_TEST, filename2_TEST, etc as I went on.

I haven’t come across this issue in other software I use regularly - is there
some reason why GnuCash should behave this way?

Regards,

Michael
