I have an update - the menu items appear normal when the application is on my primary monitor. However, if the main app is on my secondary monitor, the menu items appear on the primary monitor.
So there is an issue with the use of dual monitors. The app menu items do not appear in a drop-down. They are totally disconnected from the app off to the side. Not sure how this happened.
