Leo, There were changes in the storage locations of configuration files between 2.6 and 3.x described on this page on the wiki (https://wiki.gnucash.org/wiki/Configuration_Locations). This would affect stored reports but I don't think it should have affected the default reports. GnuCash 3.x should run a conversion procedure on its first run which should transfer the files but there were some problems with reports which had been saved which required renaming the saved-reports file. If you look back through the archives to around 3.0-3.2 there should be some discusion of the problem with reports and how to fix it if that is the problem you are encountering.
