The best person to answer that question would be the PPA maintainer. If you are logged in to launchpad and view the PPAs main page, (https://ppa.launchpad.net/sicklylife) you should see e-mail contact info.
It looks like they are backporting GnuCash updates so I’d say there is a possibility, though this would be a special build.
