At least ’today’ is better than ‘last month on some date’ as the OP noted.
However, on that note, I wonder, is there an issue as to when certain features grab ‘current’ date? If someone never closes GC (or rarely does so) can this influence what is the ‘current date’ for some features? If so, perhaps that part of the code should be revisited. Just a thought...
