Interesting. There has been some issue with phantom dock icons in the past. This is the first I’ve seen of an older version’s icon interfering.
I’d say you might want to file a bug, but I suspect it would be a MacOS or GTK bug and not specific to GnuCash. Glad you got it resolved.
