Your Windows setting is to hide file extensions. You can change that if you 
prefer. Then you would see the ".log" appended to what you have listed here.

Strange, in the actual folder it looks like I have shown it below, but when I 
tried to copy and paste it, it went into the attached part above and changed it

So you are probably correct it is a Log file but in another name on my computer.

that looks like a .log file to me.  What is the actual name of the file 
(including the extension)?  Ignore what your system thinks it's "type" is.
