I am localized to US settings, and the date strings I have tried are: 05/21/2018 05212018 05/21/18 052118
The first one gets the closest. This appears to be a problem only on the vendor bill entry form, and no other forms that I have tried (which is just a few). What are your locale settings and what string did you enter for the date?
