When I pay bills online I routinely copy the confirmation number from the web page and then paste it into the notes on a transaction. I've done that twice this morning and both times, after pasting in (Ctrl-V) the confirmation number, I could not edit the note. It just makes a sound and will not allow any editing. The only way to re-enable editing of the note is to close GNU-Cash and re-start the program.
