Well, there are 11 MacOS Chinese input methods, so I picked Pinyin-Simplified. When I type some syllables in the register the picker bar will flash and immediately disappear. I suppose that’s what you mean by “blink-blink”. It works fine in the account edit dialog, so bug 795253 may be cross-platform after all.
