Good day.
I have been running GnuCash for 3 ½ years successfully. Great application!

I upgraded to a new PC, saved the entire gnucash library, and copied to the new
PC after installing GnuCash fresh, on Windows 10. The first time I started
GnuCash (and every time since), I get

"GnuCash could not obtain the lock for file: (gives the name of my accounting
file)"
It gives me the options: Open Read-Only Create New File
   Open Anyway Quit

I don't want to create a new file, and I want to continue editing the file! So
I use Open Anyway.

The application either then hangs, or receives a Windows Microsoft Visual C++
Runtime error. "The application has requested the Runtime to terminate it in an
unusual way".

I am unable to continue using the app until this is resolved. Help!

Mike
