Hi John,

Thanks for the verification. As I guessed, probably something I did.

I have been using Gnucash for a couple of years. I always update to latest
version in exactly the same way. Open the disk image file, copy the 2
applications to my Applications folder, overwriting them when prompted. I have
no idea why it didn’t work last time. Even did the copy twice to make sure.

Anyway, I copied the app from the 3.01 dmg file to the desktop and opened it
from there instead. It worked fine and was indeed 3.01. So, I moved it from the
desktop to the Application folder (overwriting existing) and all is OK.

Thanks,

Glen Byram.

Hi John,
I have looked through the many list messages I have received from GNC, both in
my active mailboxes and my trash/spam folders.
The only ones I can see from yourself to me are your comments that I have
double posted - once to each of the two posts I did.
I cannot see the actual answer you posted to my question, even though I see
several other replies by yourself to other list posts.
Could you confirm the answer you posted to my question, please?
Many thanks,
Glen

Hi All,

Probably just something I am doing but as per the subject, I download
Gnucash-Intel-3.0-1.dmg but when I install it the Gnucash App says it is
version 2.6.19.

Am I doing something wrong?

You posted the same question, and I answered, yesterday.
