To everyone that tried to help me: Thank you! I don't know what the problem is (or was?) but it is hidden in GoDaddy's dashboards and setups. I created a database on my private hosting account with a different company and it just worked. So...I guess the church is going to have to move its WordPress site to the new host as well.
