I added the extra text to the environment file as requested. - GnuCash loaded normally. - I created and saved a new file. - I was able to exit GnuCash and restart successfully, loading the new file. - I tried to load a copy of my existing data file from 2.6.18 and the "loading user data..." stage on the splash screen GnuCash crashed with "gnucash.exe has stopped working" error message popup.
