With list it is necessary to use Reply All (or similar, depending on
your mailer) in order that your post goes back to the list instead of
just to the previous poster (me). I am forwarding this to the list.

If you sort by date in your file manager then you will be able to
easily select all the old log and data backup files. It is ok to
delete both provided you have are keeping backups of the file
elsewhere (preferably offsite if the accounts are important to you).
As for why it is not automatically deleting them I don't know, but I
think others have seen that occasionally too.
