David, Unfortunately Geert used a cmake -E command introduced in cmake-3.18, just over a year ago. Fortunately cat is a common shell command, so if you like you can edit gnucash/gschemas/CMakeLists.txt and change line 32 from COMMAND ${CMAKE_COMMAND} -E cat ${gschema_migration_files} > ${DATADIR_BUILD}/${PROJECT_NAME}/migratable-prefs.xml to COMMAND cat ${gschema_migration_files} > ${DATADIR_BUILD}/${PROJECT_NAME}/migratable-prefs.xml
