FWIW GnuCash on Mac OS X is what let me finally turn off the lights on
Windows for good: Quicken was the only thing I was using any more. (If my
employer didn't provide me with the Mac I'd be exclusively using my
Ubuntu-on-6-year-old-pc system. [And yes, it's remarkable what a
difference Ubuntu makes on that box over Windows XP.])
Thanks for all your work!
Thanks particularly for the Mac OS X dmg installation of GnuCash: frankly,
installing via Fink and watching the laptop compile all the dependencies
(4 hours?) had left me feeling less than entirely secure. (That
installation did, of course, and still does, work perfectly.)

Off Topic I know, but you could use this as an excuse to move away
